Hi All!
Sharing a layout and a card i made for my hubby's birthday.
I Love You - Forever and Always.....

this is another lovey dovey project where i created

a tag using the materials below

I also made my own heart embellishment, using the atc sized sticky back canvas. Which i then

stitched (after i stuffed it with cotton), gessoed and embossed using shabby pink embossing enamel(frantage)by Stampendous- i'm falling in love with this embossing powders!!

And the finished tag entiltled:

Hi again;) Hope everyone is doing well.

First, a very Big Thank You to Gauche Alchemy for inviting me be their guest designer for October. There are 3 projects I designed for them using their new kit, Monstrous Mutant Robots from Outer Space ...and oh boy! its very challenging for me;) but, anyway, i love challenges....it just broaden my creativity skills!....and move you away from your 'comfort zone' once in a while....

My Mixed Media Painting

can you see hearts? (well, i tried!.....)

i used Glossy Accents to add some dimensions on

the already textured painting.

hmmm....i like that....how about you?

I want to share with you another project i did using the Printery Collection A4 paper stack from Prima. Since i like to print my artwork on pattern paper, i was happy to buy this paper stack coz it definitely fit my printer sooo perfectly!! There's a few collection to choose from.

I chose this one to print my artwork

this is how it looks like after i print my artwork on the paper....

finally, i include them in my layout....

It's really fun printing your photos or artwork on different materials, i've already tried printing on canvas, cardstock/pattern papers, vellum, transparencies and finally i decided to try on kitchen (paper) towel/tissue paper. I actually 'spoiled' my printer (yikes!) but, then, hubby came to the rescue. So, i found a way...oh well, in short,to print without 'destroying' my inkjet printer! heeee.....

did this layout (on a canvas board) as a gift for my girlfriend's B'day. i love creating layouts using mixed-media techniques. There are many layers here, which then create textures too.

Hi All!
Here's sharing with you a project i did using beeswax on a 8"x16" stretched canvas. A lot of layering and loving the textures too.
This piece is entitled
Home Sweet Home

Here are the materials used:
-beeswax
-acrylic paints
- Basic Grey (out of print) paper pad
- Basic Grey (olio) rub ons
- Cosmo Cricket (odds and ends) pattern paper
- Tim Holtz tissue tape
- K&Co (watercolour bouquet) die cuts
- American Craft laser cut lace paper
-Melissa Frances vintage transfer (for the wings on the girl)
By the way, i have an old video here, on how i did mini tags using beeswax. Hope it gives you some ideas;)

and i manage to finish just one painting...
"they love to go for a walk in the park"
this cat, its not suppose to be in the painting actually,
its a request from my daughter, she wants me to
include a cat in my painting...so, here it is, and i love it!!

isn't that cute!
i have plenty of findings during the time when i used to make 'wearable art' with my Polymer Clay. And this Sculpture Flowers really remind me of Polymer Clay rings i used to make, except that its not as pretty as this one of course...heee...
so, if you have 'extra' embellishments, try to think of it as a 'wearable art' and you'll be suprise of what you can make out of it.

Let's take a look at it page by page....

i'm sure you know where i get the 'title' from..hee...

i love to have pockets in my album, i mean, who don't right?

i used the balance from the pattern paper as tags and then

scraps of cloth as the 'ribbon'

how about Hambly Screen Prints as pocket to tuck your tag in...

as you can see, i used different types of pattern papers and there are no particular 'theme' for the album. i also print out some of my own 'girl' paintings to incorporate into this colourful album. so, that's why i used Daily Junque as the title.

Goodbye 2010....Hello 2011!!!
Its already Monday 10thJanuary2011....how time flies....
A Happy New Year to all. How's your new year so far??
Mine's been a busy, topsy turvy, anxious, tiring New Year. Maybe too worried and excited for Diyanah's preparation for Primary School. I believe that all parents want to give the best for their children...you agree? There are so many new things for me to learn and absorb too, believe it or not?? heee.... This is the transition period for Diyanah, from kindergarten to a new environment, she's very excited, but, i'm very worried!! Me and hubby attended workshops at Diyanah's school(which i find very helpful and informative) and i've yet to discover more......

Oh yes! I finally finished aaaall the 14 photo clips....ouch! my back is still aching...

New and exciting 'challenges' for me;)

I am sooo addicted to drawing and painting these gals that i did 10 of them!!! you can see that the gals are pretty much alone...surrounded by things that makes her happy...heeee.....

the album is so colourful!! just makes me happy;D

I was 'absent' for quite awhile, because of my priorities as a mother, wife and a Muslim. Its the month of Ramadhan (the ninth month of the Islamic calender), where Muslims across the world refrain from food and drink (fast) from dawn till dusk for 30 days.

Fasting serves many purposes. While we are hungry and thirsty, Muslims are reminded of the suffering of the poor, thus, an opportunity to practice self-control and cleanse the body and mind, and in this most sacred month, fasting helps Muslims feel the peace that comes from spiritual devotion as well as kinship with fellow believers.....

and so i tried, and this is my version using a pen....(though i did sketch using my colour pencil first)

Just came back from Malaysia. And finally at my Home sweet Home... (Singapore!).
I really miss my Art Journal! haaa......

decided to play with my glimmer mists

this is another journal that i made using very heavy watercolour papers. i love the texture on this paper, it just gives you that 'bleeding' effect.

just did a lot of watercolour painting using different colours from my glimmer mists and paint whatever that comes in my mind.... and then scribble some quotes....

didn't do much for Father's Day, just lots and lots of rest!!

but managed to make a very simple card...

Happy Father's Day to all harworking and loving Fathers out there!!

Hello to all! Thank you for all your comments, and I hope that you are inspired!! Its been a very busy week for me so far, i'm really 'stuck' at times not knowing what to do. So sometimes, just by "gesso-ing" a page in my art journal kinda release my stress a bit. Haa...haa...do you feel the same way too?
So, yesterday was my 12 years wedding anniversary. I really can't believe how time flies, so fast! But, i'm blessed to have a hubby like my 'chocolate drop'. Ooops i'm talking too much.
Alright, heres what i've done...

Here's a little story i want to share, looking at many inspirations from my blog and you tube friends with their beautylicious dressform creations are just breathtaking till, i was stuck...

so, i asked myself, what shall i do with my version of dressform....?

dressform always reminds me of 'Project Runway'. which reminds me of my favourite host/judge Tim Gunn, which then reminds me of his famous phrase "carry on...."

i used 4"x4" coasters and whatever old pattern papers that i have. distress the edges using my favourite paint dabbers did a lot of collage using fibre papers and inchies from ArtChix Studio then stamping here and there,embellish, tie ribbons and ta daaa....
